A Rich Maritime Heritage
While the Seattle Yachts name may only be nine years old, the company’s roots run deep in the Pacific Northwest’s maritime industry.
Formed in 2016 through the merger of SAS Yachts and Northwest Yachts—both of which had been operating since the early 1990s—the Anacortes-headquartered company brings decades of experience to the recreational boating industry. What began as a yacht brokerage, dealing in used boats much like a real estate brokerage, has evolved into a far more comprehensive company.
A Full-Service Maritime Company
Anacortes is fundamentally a seafaring city, with maritime trades woven into its history, culture, infrastructure, and economy. Seattle Yachts reinforces this maritime identity by providing approximately 60 local family-wage jobs and offering a suite of services that encompass virtually every aspect of the recreational boating industry. Since its founding, the company has expanded services to include:

· Yacht brokerages for used boat sales
· New boat sales
· Yacht and boat service
· A sailing academy · Sail and power boating clubs (SailTime and PowerTime)
· Vessel manufacturing, both in Anacortes and through overseas contracts
This comprehensive approach stems from a clear vision: to introduce people to the water and give them experiences and memories that last a lifetime. By offering everything from education and sales to ongoing service, Seattle Yachts helps people bridge the gap from watching boats from the shore to developing the skills and confidence to get out on the water themselves.
A Vision for the Future

For Seattle Yachts, Anacortes isn’t just a convenient location—it’s central to their mission. Throughout its life in the industry, Seattle Yachts has helped steward significant growth in
the local recreational boating industry. The company strives to foster this continued growth so that Anacortes can cement itself as the preeminent West Coast boating center.
“Anacortes is a jewel,” said General Manager Patrick Harrigan. “Cap Sante is a gem within the jewel. [This place is] world class.”
It’s an ambitious goal and one that benefits the company, our maritime economy, and our community at large. The Port looks forward to partnering with Seattle Yachts and the local maritime community to see this vision grow into reality.
