Port celebrates reopening of the Cap Sante Marina RV Park

June 28, 2024 | News

On June 6, 2024, the Port hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the grand reopening of the Cap Sante Marina RV Park. Community members, Port Commission, Port staff, project consultants and contractors, City Council members, and the mayor gathered to celebrate the completion of this improvement project and tour the new facilities There was even a special appearance from former Port Commissioner Bill Short, who supported the initial planning for the North Basin Redevelopment over a decade ago.

This year-long project started in July 2023 and wrapped up in May 2024. What was previously a simple gravel lot with no utility hookups has now been transformed into a brand-new RV Park with 25 stalls, full hookups, a dedicated restroom facility, a new upland 132-space parking lot flanked by two green spaces, and asphalt overlay of Docks M-N-O Parking Lot. The RV Park redevelopment effort was funded in part with federal and state grant funds awarded by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service and the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office.

The Port is very appreciative of the economic impact to local and regional businesses—everything from the project general contractor to various subcontractors and suppliers.

The RV Park officially opened to visitors on June 17 and is now taking reservations for the fall. To learn more about the RV Park, including rates, a full list of amenities, and how to make a reservation, visit our website: https://www.portofanacortes.com/rv-park
