Airport

Anacortes Airport is located 2-miles west of downtown Anacortes, Washington.  Anacortes Airport consists of 101 acres and has asphalt aircraft operational area with artificial drainage.  Runway is described as follows:  Runway 18/36 is 60 feet wide and 3,018 feet long, with stop overruns at 240 feet at each end to be used for emergency landing conditions only.

Hours of Operation:  Anacortes Airport is a federally funded public airport open to the public 24 hours per day, every day of the year.  For noise abatement, take-offs between 2200 and 0600 hours are discouraged.

Security:  An operational perimeter fence surrounds Anacortes Airport limiting access to those who have business at Anacortes Airport, and is controlled by automatic gates.  Suspicious activities should be reported to the Port, (360) 293-3134, Port Security at (360) 661-5000, or emergency service 911.

Airport Lighting and Weather Facility:  Lighting consists of:  Pilot activated medium intensity runway lighting (MIRL), rotating beacon, obstruction lights at the approach end of runway 18/36, runway threshold/end lights (REIL) and precision approach path indicator (PAPI).  All other Airport lights are photocell-activated.  Anacortes Airport Automated Weather Observation Station 747 (KWAANAC024) is available at 122.9. CTAF 128.25.
