The following is a summary of the processes and requirements for public works contracting with the Port of Anacortes, i.e., small works roster, advertising, bidding, successful bidder award procedures, insurance requirements, and prevailing wage law.
SMALL WORKS ROSTER: The Port of Anacortes maintains a small works roster. When the Port has work to be performed under the small works roster, the Port will invite proposals from all appropriate contractors on the roster. In compliance with RCW 53.08.120 the Port may procure work under this procedure for which the estimated costs are under $300,000. All contracts for work exceeding this amount must be advertised by calling for public bids.
The Port advertises and updates its small works roster annually in January, but will accept applications to be placed on the list any time.

Whenever the Port has a need for professional or personal services to be performed under the consultant roster, the specific discipline category is referred to and a selection is completed based upon an evaluation of the submittals as defined in the published criteria. The Port advertises and updates its consultant services on an annual basis.
The next Request for Qualifications will be issued in January 2011.
ADVERTISING: The Consultant Services Roster, Request for Qualifications, and Request for Proposals, as well as all major projects not solicited from the small works roster, are advertised in the Skagit Valley Herald as well as the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce, and Builders Exchange.
